What We Do

Each client is unique and his particular needs are our concern. Therefore our range of services is inherently flexible and is tailored to each client. The common element is care for the proper needs of the client.

We view the core services offered by Rocquaine or its business partners as covering:

  • Structuring globally for asset and business ownership
  • Trust services
  • Corporate services
  • Tax consultancy
  • Legal consultancy
  • Reputation management

Serving the needs of complex clients we assist with:

  • the launch of complex entities where guiding the flow of investor capital and the deployment of that capital is critical to the ongoing robustness of the structure; and
  • providing substance where and when clients need it. This could be by adding skills, experience and governance oversight to mixed boards (ie comprising client designated directors and Rocquaine designated directors), or providing input to boards as directors or advisors in contentious or otherwise difficult situations, such as re-structing and litigation.

Other situations will be considered by the Rocquaine team on a case-by-case basis. The operating model referred to below enables start-up in new jurisdictions easily and flexibly and was designed by the principals as a response to perceived barriers faced by prospective clients. The model enables Rocquaine to deliver its unique style of service in whichever reputable jurisdictions best serve the needs of its clients.

We go where the business is. We do not have geographical boundaries.

Unique Client Operating Model:

Uniquely, Rocquaine focuses on client relationships rather than on pure administration services. Rocquaine carefully identifies business partners, usually one in each jurisdiction, who provide the administration services.

Regulated service providers in any jurisdiction are required to maintain a deep understanding of clients’ assets and businesses under their care, and of the funding and operation of those assets and businesses. The pressures of “due diligence” (DD) in those areas have grown consistently and created tensions between clients and their administration services providers, whose real skill sets are in providing administration services. Very often we see that the needs of the clients of an administration services provider were straightforward at inception but can become increasingly complex over time, eventually reaching the point where the service provider finds the DD burden beyond its ability to resource. Often that happens both in relation to the skills it is able to direct at the client relationship management (CRM) role (to the detriment of its preferred focus on administration services) and in relation to the remuneration terms the client is prepared to accept. In those situations, the CRM role is viewed by the client primarily as a regulatory imposition controlled by the service provider’s Compliance Department, and purely as a cost burden with no added value.

The uniqueness of Rocquaine is that Rocquaine focuses on the CRM role. Rocquaine adds value for its clients by developing a deep understanding of their complex needs. Rocquaine does this at the front end in relation to the asset and business management services the clients need, and at the back end by working alongside the right administration services provider and overseeing that function to ensure those services are provided consistently at the highest level.

Rocquaine aims to change the CRM function from a pure cost, a negative in the clients’ eyes, to an added value service creating for the client a more robust structure better able to withstand the tests of time and capable of taking advantage of the opportunities that come with change.

Both parties in the Rocquaine team then focus on what they do best, and on doing it at the highest level.
